StingRod Corvettes are build from C3 cars by significantly widening and sculpturing the body from the middle of the doors back. Eash body is widened specifically to properly fit the size of wheel and tire you are running, typically at least a 12" wide wheel running 335 or 345 rubber. This results in a car that is 6 to 8 inches wider than stock, giving the car a low, wide and very exotic appearance. Internal structures are modified as well to retain the car's rigidity. 68-72 version have widened rear bumpers. Front fender flares are massaged a bit to retain consistency in shape with the rears.
